Inae Kim, MD is a Board Certified, fellowship trained cornea, cataract and LASIK surgeon.
Dr. Kim attended medical school at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) where she graduated as a member of the Gold Humanism Society. Dr. Kim completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Chicago, and subsequently completed a fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at Northwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Kim specializes in full- and partial-thickness corneal transplantation (PKP, DSEK, DMEK, DALK), refractive surgery (LASIK, PRK, cross-linking), standard and complex cataract surgery (femtosecond laser surgery, secondary IOLs for dislocated lenses or complicated cases), ocular surface procedures (pterygium excision, superficial keratectomy, EDTA chelation, ocular surface reconstruction), as well as medical cornea.
Dr. Kim has published multiple articles and presented at many conferences including the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), World Cornea Congress (WCC), and Women in Ophthalmology (WIO). Dr. Kim has also gone on domestic and international medical mission trips, including Bolivia.
